After thirty-five years perfecting color in Hollywood—balancing every shade until emotion popped off the screen—I found myself searching for a new palette. My career was built on the subtle shifts of hue and the depth of a shadow, working alongside some of the most respected filmmakers in the industry. That world taught me discipline, the weight of a single detail, and the power of a shared vision.
Eventually, the glow of the monitor gave way to a quieter, clearer calling: I Need Coffee.

It started with my beautiful, supportive wife. Every morning, I would hear those same three words: “I need coffee.” Over time, it became more than a sentence—it became a code: INC.
That phrase sparked a journey into roasting. I discovered that the same precision and patience I practiced in Hollywood applied perfectly to the bean: green to gold, batch by batch, cup by cup. Roasting clicked in a way that felt inevitable. Every bean demands attention, timing, and respect—just like every frame and every shadow I once balanced on a screen.

Then there’s Winnie—our four-pawed muse and constant reminder to stay honest and grounded. She keeps us focused on what truly matters: craft, care, and giving back. A portion of every bag sold goes directly to the Pasadena Humane Society, helping more dogs and cats find their forever homes.
